Clinical Skills attendance + physical examination workbook
Kindly note that :
1. Dr Omar made some changes to the physical examination workbook for shoulder, knee and hip examination. Please find the revised copy . Students will be examined in the OSCE on what Dr Omar teaches them in the lab and the revised physical examination workbook.

2. Dr Omar will be responsible for Year 3 attendance.
If a student misses a practical lab because of illness then they must give Dr Omar their medical excuse which must be stamped by the university medical center. They will be given permission to catch up the lab if possible, and they will not lose marks for attendance.
If the student does not have a reasonable excuse for missing their lab then they will be marked as absent and they will lose marks for attendance for that lab.
If a student knows that there is a very good reason that they cannot attend a lab in advance (travelling to another country during term time is NOT a reasonable excuse!) then they must see Dr Omar and explain why they cannot attend the lab and if he gives permission then they can catch up the lab at another time if possible. If a student comes afterwards trying to catch up the lab then they will not be given marks for attendance and it might not be possible to catch up the lab.
In ALL cases, students can only attend a lab group that is not their own, if they have permission at least 1 day BEFORE the lab from Dr Omar. Students cannot turn up at the time of the lab and try to attend with another group.
If a student arrives more than 1/2 hour late to their own practical lab, then they will lost marks for attendance for that lab.
We need to be strict about students attending their own lab at their own time so that it is fair for all students and so that all students have a good experience of Clinical Skills practical labs.
Best wishes
